This was quite a difficult site which was occupied by large privately owned billboards. Following our advice and guidance, the client purchased the site knowing that there were significant challenges to get this applications through the planning system. The proposal was to create a contemporary mixed use building to maximise the potential for the site where we created 2no. retail units to the ground floor and 4no. self contained apartments on the upper floors. The fall of the site and elevated position also posed further issues but were resolved with clever landscaping around the site. We managed to secure planning approval for the client in March 2022 enabling the client to move forward with the scheme after a painful 12 month process negotiating with the planners.
