Project Concept
The aim was to modernise a poorly laid-out, outdated property and create a practical, high-quality family home. The design introduced a contemporary layout with improved flow, generous living spaces, and a separate garden room now used as a playroom, extending usable space beyond the main house.

We worked closely with the client to design a five-bedroom family home, including two en-suite bedrooms and open-plan living spaces overlooking the garden. A key feature of the scheme was a glass gable façade with a Juliet balcony, creating a strong contemporary identity to the rear. Following client approval, the proposals were submitted to Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council, where planning permission was granted within standard timeframes. The project was subsequently built and completed within 12 months.
